An Evening of Hope: The Faine House Mission

As co-founder of The Faine House, I'm often asked why our mission to support young people who experienced traumatic home lives is so important to me.

I was adopted by a loving family, and as I got older I realized I could have just as easily ended up in foster care.

I know just how lucky I was to be adopted, because for over two decades now, I’ve had the fulfilling and humbling experience of supporting the children and young adults who were not as fortunate.

As a father now, I can see how home life stability and unconditional love OR the lack thereof can alter a child’s development.

When it came time to retire from the NFL, I knew my charitable focus would be on the young people who deserve a chance and weren’t dealt a fair hand.

Thanks to the immense dedication of The Faine House’s co-Founder Jeff Sharon, our board and the extended community, the goal of changing the trajectory of these kids’ lives is being reached!

From providing stability and support to offering educational and occupational opportunities, we're helping our residents build the foundation they need for a successful future. We’ve had over 100 residents “graduate” from The Faine House since we opened our doors.

None of this would be possible without the support of our incredible community. That's why events like our annual gala, An Evening of Hope, are so vital. It's a chance for us to come together, recognize the resilience of these young people, and raise the funds needed to continue this life-changing work.
