As Thanksgiving approaches, it's a time when many of us pause to reflect on the things we're thankful for. This has been a pivotal time for me professionally, and I have much to appreciate.
I will admit that at the beginning of this year I had no plans to formally open a new firm and write a book. Now I look back and see that these potential endeavors presented themselves to me at the right time, and I have many people in my network to thank for this exciting and memorable year.
I’m very grateful to Brittnie and the boys for another beautiful year of memories made. From a professional standpoint, I’ve made wonderful new relationships as I worked through the writing and editing of my upcoming book.
I was honored to spend time at ND on the field with the Color Guard and connect with some alumni at conferences as well. Speaking to ND students, faculty, staff and alumni is a joy and I hope to be making trips “home” for decades to come.
I don’t talk about The Faine House here - but this year’s Gala was incredible; the most attended by far; raising over a million dollars for Orlando’s youth on the verge of being (or currently) homeless.
When it comes to EFS Life, I am truly amazed at what it’s grown into in just one year. Our niche expertise has continued to evolve with financing clients’ taxes which has been applied to so many industries and professions in new forms. Creating completely custom solutions for wonderful individuals all the way up to huge corporate systems has unfolded in the most exciting and fulfilling way.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder to pause and express gratitude for everything we have.
